A new hope.

Even during the hardest of times, times of trials and hardships, I have been blindsided by how blessed I am. I have had my fair share of struggles and in doing so I have see so much good in the world. I have the ablility to do it. Even if it pains me.

Egg sellers for Easter on the side of the road have reminded me that I am doing well enough in my life. I have not been brought down to the point I have to sell thing s on the side of the road. I am able to support myself and I have found ways to get though almost anything that I am facing. On the days I am unable to do so, I have built a network of people to help me get through it.

I encourage you all, keep going. I believe in you and hope I can help share my strength to each and every one of you. Through the darkest, bleakest time of my life I am still pressing on. So many times I have almost quit and I didn’t. Let this post be a rallying cry for you.

Strength in numbers.

I share my stories and my life with you all and try to show that even in the worst of times, I have found ways to keep going. Share your story. Encourage someone as well. Comment where you see this. Share it with me or your friends. Do not hide yourself from the world. You deserve to be heard, loved, and respected.

Dear readers. I hope you see this post and feel uplifted. I hope you take 5 deep breaths and reset and center yourself. I hope you put on some of your favorite music and listen to a full song, uninterrupted, with your eyes close and sense peace. I pray that each one of you feel some comfort. It is what I can do from where I am.

Self care day 6:Picnic Baskets

Thank you for joining me on the grand undertaking. There is going to be a lot of work for me and  I hope to be able to keep up. Please make sure to comment, share and follow along as I share some simple things to better your life!

I enjoy the outdoors when bugs are not in the air or when it is not a million degrees. When that temperature is just right, outside or at the park can be just the thing to help calm down. When the breeze is just right and you can sit on a bench and never want to leave.

How can we capture that?

Picnics. (My Yogi Bear side wants to say Pic-a-nic baskets).

Like most of what I have talked about, this does require some planning. Finding a good day, when the weather is right, taking time aside from work, friends, or family (or invite them along if you want). This takes some effort but imagine that peace you feel being outside and everything in the universe feels perfect for a moment and imagine that moment lasting longer.

We look at picnics in movies or our mindscapes as date opportunities or special occasions. I look at this and say, take yourself on a date. Find some time, pack a sandwich (or bottle of wine if that is your thing) and make a date of it. There is nothing wrong with being by yourself outside and relaxing.

This is you. Outside at peace. Not a human doing, a human being.

Just be.

Be at peace.

Let the moment last long as you want because you planned for it.

Enjoy it.

Thanking the family

I went home for Thanksgiving. I got to see my whole family for the first time in more than 3 years (and longer than that when were all together). I got to go home to a place that is beyond the boonies.

Let me explain.

Were my family lives is well beyond the country. When I say beyond, The closest Wal-mart is an hour away. In 4 directions. The closest McDonalds is over 20 minutes away. The nearest gas station is 15 minutes away

I am talking far out there.

It is a place of peace and quite. The wind blows and that is all you hear. There is no one for miles that can make enough noises for you to hear.

You can hear yourself think.

You go from a human doing and to a human being.

I got a chance to be at peace, with a pony.

Hug a pony my friends.
